Years later, Front Range Mountain Biking is now a multi-national, 24,000+ member group of dedicated mountain bikers. Two Facebook groups, always closed and moderated, turned into an advocacy juggernaut, media source, meet up point, website and blog reaching up to 80,000 to 120,000 riders as a whole.

FRONT RANGE MOUNTAIN BIKING, BY THE NUMBERS

• We are over 24,000 members, which is huge considering we are private, sport specific, and have never been “open status” groups. We are averaging 600 new members a month, this does not include the declined member applications. We average 5,000 posts, 94,000 comments and 175,000 reactions per year.

• No one takes a salary from Front Range Mountain Biking.

• We are known for activity (over 90% active members per month), inclusion, responsibility and charity. This is notably different from the other mountain bike groups and likely responsible for our growth and the respect we receive from the overall mountain bike rider, media and charity communities.

• We are 23% Female and 76% male. Statistically for our sport, that is very good as most surveys indicate 4% female participation. We are a very diverse group. We proudly support LGBTQ, minority, and female riders. We also embrace our large Veteran community within the groups.

• Our member base is primarily from the USA with the UK, Canada and Spain coming next in line. We reach 70 countries currently. Our members are most commonly in the Western and Southeastern United States (and growing rapidly from there). Our last article was read in 68 countries.

• Our members are regular people and well-known figures in the mountain bike community. We have pro riders, racers, shop owners, writers for large mountain biking publications, owners / founders of bike companies, owners of the biggest guide services, television producers and photojournalist, mountain bike movie producers, famous Youtubers and many more, all conversing side by side with our average users who range from college students to construction workers, nurses, soldiers and lawyers.

• We have a great website with stories from Front Range Mountain Biking members and brand-new Instagram pages for both sides of Front Range Mountain Biking, @frontrangemountainbiking and @tampabayareamountainbike. We post from our site, to our groups and multiple other large groups around the world that we’ve secured posting rights to. Our stories are generally posted to at least 35,000 mountain bikers. For example; Our story, Spring to Come was posted to 80,000 mountain bikers worldwide. We are wide reaching, recognized internationally and rapidly growing our presence.
