Satire: SOMETIMES YOU LOSE, FIVE YEARS OF BEING DENIED BY BIKE MAGAZINE

By Matthew George

Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. A hard lesson in life that I’ve not currently crested. I’ve admitted my failings here many times, see articles like Out Of The Clouds and my very first article The Case For Being Last. That said, I’ve worked hard as an average person with little more than a construction background, to become the type of author that might grace the pages of a world class publication like Bike Magazine. This year marks my fifth attempt to gain their favor, but regardless of my efforts, it seems to be for not. I’ll keep my head up and keep plugging away for the good of our 11,000 FRMTB members. In an attempt to show you all the same openness and vulnerability as always, I offer you a look at the denial letter below. Hard to believe that I got denied by a guy who cant spell his best authors name correctly (It’s “Kristin”). Thank you all for the support and kind words.
